Did you know that, like many other cake makers in Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire, I often get booked 6 to 9 months ahead, especially in summer months.

Aside from bespoke wedding cakes, I also design birthday cakes and bespoke celebration cakes for children and grown ups. Some of my favourite kids birthday cakes are animal cakes! Pony cake, cats, dogs, fluffy white sheep,a little mouse -or even mini Schnauzer buttercream cakes.
Businesses, corporate event venues and event planners: I design and supply bespoke cakes, personalised biscuits, gift boxes and goodie bags for PR campaigns, business celebrations and awards across the South of England. I also create and personally deliver tailored cake decorating and chocolate classes for team building activities and corporate days out either at your premises, venue or through the Goodwood Group, at The Goodwood Hotel and Goodwood House.

Why should you save your date months, maybe a year in advance?
There’s only me at Pudding Fairy.
I have limited capacity when it comes to creating wedding cakes and delivering them. I can’t be the same day at the same time at a venue in West Sussex and Surrey, or Hampshire and Kent (I am still waiting for a TARDIS but until then…).
If another bride or groom requests the same date as you and you didn’t put a hold on your date, you might find I am fully booked. This does happen fairly regularly and I hate it when it happens, even though I explain the benefits of holding the dates to all the couples I talk to. I can understand that it might sound too much of a commitment, but it’s not really. You don’t have to pay a deposit. It just means we can have a chat about the style of wedding cake you’d like. create it together if you need guidance and finalise your choice of recipes and an accurate cost – in short it gives you time to make a decision.
Did you know? – Between the fact that a lot of couples plan their wedding months, if not years in advance, kind word of mouth and recommendations from customers, local suppliers and venues, I get booked up 6 to 12 months ahead. In summer months, Saturdays and Bank Holiday week ends, I can get booked up 18 to 24 months in advance. My book for 2018 is about 30% full, and I have started taking dates and bookings for 2019. (and no, before I retrained into my new career as a cake maker, I would have never believed this either. But the facts are here.)
